Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...

...and then other times its nauseating experience that leads to vomiting.

For Fathers Day my step-father, Hot Rockin' Bobster, gave me a beautiful leather cigar case complete with a cutter and three cigars - two of which were Cuban Montecristos. In my opinion, cigars are not meant to be smoked - they're meant to be enjoyed. One must give themselves time to enjoy the cigar while one smokes it. They're not like cigarettes where one can smoke wherever and whenever. That said, I always wait until the right moment to break out my cigars. Last night was one of those times.

I decided to my Montecristo while cutting the grass. I must say it was an enjoyable smoke. The cigar lasted the entire time I was cutting. Then after I was done the lawn I sat at our patio and finished the smoke. It was a good cigar.

Twenty minutes later I'm takng a shower and this feeling of nausea hits me. I know this feeling. It sometimes happens after I smoke cuban cigars. It doesn't happen all the time and I don't know why it happens either. Having felt this feeling before (following smoking a cigar) I knew what was going to happen. I was going to vomit. And that's exactly what I did.

Maybe it wasn't such a good cigar afterall.

Note to self....

I wish this blog to be All About Paul which will include posts about my job, family, friends, hobbies, likes, dislikes, and all that stuff you expect to see in a weblog. I want this blog to be more that just text. I will also post mp3s, photos, as well as video.

Frankly, I'm ok if no one reads my blog. For now, this blog is All About Paul. Its about Paul and what is going on in my life at that time. I've never kept a journal before and hope that using this medium will allow me to capture a period of my life in a multi-media format.

If you stumble upon my blog and you enjoy -- then I say "cool." If you don't like my blog and you never come back -- well, I say "that's ok, too."

Who Is Paul Altobelli?

I'm saucy. I enjoy smoking incredibly expensive cigars that I can't afford. Bubble gum is my favorite food. I like baseball, golf and football - that's it when it comes to sports. If you see me near where you are, stop and say "hi." Do not move again until I am safely past. Then you may continue on your way. Do NOT turn around and look at me from behind. No. I like snow. On a more personal note, and it may be none of your business, I rarely read and enjoy hobbies such as doing strange things to my cat with a fork and living like the biggest pig you ever saw. I don't care that much about most things. Unfortunately, I still live in New Jersey.
