It Was 9 Hours Ago Today

It was 9 hours ago today that my second son, Joseph Giovanni Altobelli entered this thing called life. In other words, at 9:15 this morning Joey was born. If you read my earlier post you'll know that forty years ago today I was born. Wow, I never thought turing 40 would be so cool.

Now that is VERY COOL! Did you try to time it out that way or did it just happen normally?

Nevermind - doesn't matter. Congrats to the whole family!

Hi Paul and Lisa, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

It's funny, I was just
passing down Chapel Ave. the other day and said to myself, "Self, I
wonder if Lisa had the baby yet?" I know this is a busy time. I'll
pass by before Christmas. God Bless you all and thank you for the great
news.

Here's probably your 5000th congratulations note, but
it's no less sincere! Congratulations, amigo! Looks
like you got your hair cut just in time! You sure as
heck won't have time for the next three months or so,
right? Take care and God bless!

And by the way, you've got a hell of a lot of people
in your address book! Holy smoke!

Ok - so clearly I left you that voice mail message before I saw the email announcement. Damn it, you always know that I can never remember your exact b-day date. I'm terrible, huh?! But how cool your birthday was on the same day! Too cool for school. Little Joey is waaaayy tooo cute. Not surprising looking at his parents. He's gonna give little Michael a run for his money. Loved the touching story from your Mom. She always surprises me . . . 'nuf said! So happy Lisa is doing well. You all looked like one big happy family. I am truly happy for you Pauly.

Love you, Shelley

Hi Paul,

Congratulations my friend. The baby and the parents look great. Very cute little boy.

I have been thinking about how busy you must be right now, with fond memories of the first few days after my kids were born. I remember holding a friend's newborn recently and being amazed at how small and lite the baby was.

Have a great few days, and I look froward to connecting when you come up for air.

Paul,

Happy Birthday twice!

What are the odds?

That has got to be the coolest thing ever....

Love the name...and now you can have a annual
birthday party for your son and invite all your adult
friends for a "aiming with your face" celebration.
(like most parents do) But this time.. it really is
your b-day!

Send out a media advisory to your local paper
and archive the story for the scrapbook...

This birth on your birthday has got to be the
coolest thing!

Cher Paul,

How exciting ... We thought of you a lot yesterday !

Congrats to you and family. What a timing to celebrate a great birthday!

I love the story and word of love from your Mom. In fact, your Mom's picture looks a lot like your charming wife.

Be very happy. Your little boy is so cute .... like father !

Pablo,
Just a note to congratulate you on your 40th birthday and the birth of Joseph Giovanni. As usual, it was great to see the old gang, Although we don't get to see each other as often as we would like, it is good to know that my first friends are still some of my best friends. Take care of momma and the kids and I will do my best to try not to laugh in the middle the night thinking about you changing another dirty diaper!

Take care,
Brian AKA "Paul's mad dog"

In the excitement of Joey, I failed to wish you a happy birthday. This is
the first of many times that your sons birthday will cause friends and
family to forget yours.

Forty years ago today Paul Altobell uttered his first, audible sounds and they have never stopped!

Congratulations, but why not “Fredo” Altobelli.

BTW – you are one magnificently handsome bastard.
